I'm Llew, a Cardiff & Cornwall based designer and maker working across Film, TV and Theatre. Being a fluent Welsh speaker from Cardiff, I was first introduced to design for performance as a creative pathway I wanted to pursue by working on Welsh language productions within the Art Department. I later went on to study Design for Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for three years, graduating with First Class Honours. Since then, I've worked across Cardiff, Bristol, and London on high-end television and film productions predominantly as an Art Department Assistant, gaining valuable experience. Additionally, I'm a credited Production Designer on numerous short films, most recently From Sidney, with Love.
Believing that space itself can be a storyteller, my work strives to push the boundaries of traditional design and enhance storytelling with spaces discovered through research, attention to detail, collaboration and a vivid imagination. The process of curating and making striking imagery drives my practice to impact audiences regardless of how they experience it, be it through stage, screen, or installation.
